A background in human resources
During his more than 30 years in the employee benefits space, Scott has developed a true empathy for the struggles his clients experience. He manages their health and welfare plans while trying to balance cost, control, and the value those plans provide to his clients' employees and their families. He develops a very strong relationship with his clients, many of whom have worked with Scott for more than 20 years. Scott and his staff strive to simplify their clients’ lives as they support the complexities and regulatory hurdles most businesses face while managing their plans. Scott works with both for-profit and not-for-profit entities of all sizes and backgrounds.
Education
Scott graduated from the University of Toledo in 1988 with a degree in human resource management. His HR background helps him understand sophisticated plan designs, as well as alternate funding arrangements.

Scott and his wife Denise live in Holland, Ohio. Scott has served on the boards of the Toledo Junior Golf Association, the Springfield Local Schools Foundation, the Maumee Valley Girl Scout Council, Leadership Toledo, and the Springfield Schools Business Advisory Council.
