Savage and Associates established the Savage Foundation in 2003 to help support nonprofit organizations throughout northwest Ohio. Since then, Savage has raised more than $1 million for local charities. Our premiere event, the Savage Foundation Golf Classic, has become one of the most successful single-day charity golf outings in the area.

The next tournament is being held on June 17, 2019, at Stone Oak Country Club. Your participation in the Savage Foundation Golf Classic helps the four benefitting charities make meaningful differences in the lives of those they serve. As always, we truly appreciate your support.

GOOD GRIEF OF NORTHWEST OHIO – Good Grief creates awareness of—and support for—grieving children and their families by providing a safe and caring place to explore, express, and come to an understanding of thoughts, fears, questions, and emotions associated with grief and loss.
CONNECTING KIDS TO MEALS – Connecting Kids to Meals (formerly, Feed Lucas County Children) provides hot, nutritious meals at no cost to children in low-income and underserved areas throughout the entire year. Since beginning operations in 2002, the organization has served more than 5 million meals to hungry children in need.
OPEN DOOR MINISTRY – Open Door provides a calm, supportive, therapeutic environment in which men afflicted with substance abuse addiction may be empowered through the spirituality of the 12 Steps and other proven program requirements. The programs enable them to deal with the problems they face as they seek to re-establish themselves as self-supporting, sober, productive members of society.
TEAM RECOVERY – Team Recovery started with a few people in detox in Toledo, Ohio. They originally formed to help each other and start a movement to break the stigma that is attached to drug addiction. Team Recovery is an advocacy group helping to educate families about the disease of addiction, as well as the recovery process.
It is truly an honor and a privilege to be associated with an event that demonstrates such excellence, social responsibility, and deep compassion for charitable organizations in our local community. It is through the generosity and kindness of our committee, volunteers, and sponsors that we are able to continue to make a difference in the lives of so many.J.R.
