Robert "Bob" Savage is Chairman Emeritus of Savage and Associates—and previously served as the company's President and CEO for 28 years. Bob remains a key component within the Savage environment and still attends Savage management meetings. Today, he concentrates most of his time, energy, and talent on working to make Toledo and Northwest Ohio a better place.
Bob served as a Trustee for The University of Toledo for 11 years and The University of Toledo Foundation for more than nine years.
Bob received highest alumni award from the University of Toledo—The Gold T Award—in 2003, and the College of Business Administration and Innovation Pacemaker Award in 2010. He was the key organizer and leader in developing the Savage and Associates Complex for Business Learning and Engagement for the University's College of Business.
Bob served many years as a leader for many key charitable and civic organizations in the Toledo area. He served on the Board of Directors of many businesses and corporations, including three whose stocks are listed on the New York Stock Exchange.
Bob graduated from The University of Toledo in 1959, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Business with a major in Finance.
Bob has spent his lifetime as a leader and a great cheerleader for the University of Toledo. In 2013, in recognition of his life’s work, the University graciously conferred upon him its highest honor—an Honorary Doctorate Degree.

Bob and his wife, Sue, have six adult children and fourteen grandchildren. Highly active in the community, Bob and Sue Savage received the 2017 Outstanding Philanthropists Award presented by the Northwest Ohio Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP).
