Savage Foundation Golf Classic

Our Story

Committed to Help Local Charities for 15 years

In 2003, after 46 years of community service, Savage and Associates established the Savage Foundation to help support non-profit organizations in Northwest Ohio.  Since then, we have raised over $1,000,000 for local charities in the Toledo area. Our premiere event, the Savage Foundation Golf Classic has become one of the most charitable single-day charity golf outings in Northwest Ohio.

2017 Savage Foundation Golf Classic a Success!

This year’s tournament was held on June 26,2017 at Stone Oak Country Club. The day was a huge success and the weather was outstanding. Once again the Savage Foundation Golf Committee provided great golf, food and activities. The event ended with our 2017 charities taking away checks between $10,000 and $15,000.  It was an honor to help these special organizations and we look forward to next year’s event.

Our 2017 Charities

Bowling Green Pregnancy Center – Her Choice provides help and support to women facing unplanned pregnancy  by providing free pregnancy tests, ultrasound and informational resources. BG Pregnancy Center assists thousands of young pregnant women in Wood County area.

The Daughter Project – The Daughter Project is a non-profit organization in Northwest Ohio that exists to help girls recover from the trauma of sex trafficking and to help prevent others from being trafficked.

Toledo Newsboys – No child shall miss school for lack of shoes or coat. Since 1929, our goal has been the same: Immediate emergency service, when a school administrator, police officer, fire official, or neighbor reports a child in need.

Toledo Streets Newspaper – To empower individuals struggling with extreme poverty to participate on a new level in the community through self-employment, job training, and contributorship.

Veterans Matter – Our mission is simple, house as many homeless veterans as we can, as fast as we can. Help for our heroes in need: Returning them to domestic autonomy.

“It is truly an honor and a privilege to be associated with an event that demonstrates such excellence, social responsibility and deep compassion for charitable organizations in our local community. It is through the generosity and kindness of our committee, volunteers, and sponsors that we are able to continue to make a difference in the lives of so many.”
