John joined Savage and Associates in 1979. His primary focus is on total financial planning using investment and protection products that help individuals and families build secure financial bases to meet changing life events. Much of his practice involves retirement planning, with an emphasis on retirement income strategies. John enjoys helping young clients build strong financial habits, and he has guest lectured many times to University of Toledo students. John is also a lifetime qualifying member in the Million Dollar Round Table. For John, total financial planning means helping clients meet their investment needs through experience and by utilizing a circle of trusted advisors.

Qualifying membership in the MDRT is based on minimum commission and gross business generated within a year. Each MDRT status designation is granted for one year only. All members must apply every year to continue their affiliation with the Million Dollar Round Table.

Education

John graduated from the University of Toledo College of Pharmacy in 1976, and he practiced pharmacy in both retail and hospital settings. He began his financial planning practice while pursuing his pharmaceutical career.

Personal

John stays active in the pharmacy community, having served as President of the University of Toledo College of Pharmacy Alumni Association, and on the boards of the Toledo Academy of Pharmacy and the Dean’s Commission of Pharmacy Education. John and his wife, Carol, live in West Toledo. John enjoys biking, traveling, gardening, reading, and spending time with his family.
