We are hiring a Full-Time IT Support Assistant.

This position is responsible for assisting users with day to day issues, problems and questions relating to hardware and software in use within the organization. Qualified candidates must have experience with PC hardware and Microsoft software as well as business machines, VoIP phone systems, windows networks and various other office technologies.

Primary Duties:

  • Troubleshoot and resolve tech-related issues over the phone, in person and via remote sessions as needed
  • Enter and monitor all trouble tickets in ticketing systems
  • Identify and remove malware, virus-related problems
  • Keep all Windows workstations up to date on Anti-Virus as well and Microsoft windows software
  • Identify hardware-related issues on workstations and other devices and be able to repair as quickly as possible within scope and control of the position
  • Assist end users with Multi-Function machines, VoIP phones, tablets, smartphones, laptops and any other devices
  • Knowledge of Microsoft windows networking, active directory, Office 365 and SharePoint, Office 2010/2013/2016
  • Knowledge and ability to set up and troubleshoot small A/V equipment

Skills and Abilities:

  • Minimum Associates Degree in technology-related field or equivalent
  • A+, Network+ or other, similar certification preferred
  • Basic experience with Microsoft Windows and domain environment, this includes Active Directory, print servers, Office365 and Office 2016, One Drive and SharePoint
  • Familiarity with command prompt and shell commands
  • Strong organizational as well as interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Self-motivated
  • Willing to learn new technologies
  • Willing to function as part of the overall team and within organizational guidelines and strategies
